The Royal Academy of Dance will unveil new Advanced syllabi in September this year. The launch will take place completely online, on TUESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2013, with a mix of pre-recorded and live content and will be accessible to the widest possible membership base. Named after Miss Phyllis Bedells, founding member and Vice-President of the RAD, this year's internationally-recognised competition attracted 34 candidates, including three from Japan, competing for the bursary of £1,000 to be used to further the winner’s training. Past winners of the prestigious competition have gone on to dance with international ballet companies including The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and the Dutch National Ballet.

Queensland Ballet has announced that due to popular demand it is adding extra performances to its 2013 seasons of Cinderella, Giselle and Elegance at the Playhouse, QPAC.
The Company is adding two extra performances to its upcoming première of Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella. The two extra performances will on Wednesday 10 and 17 April at 7:30pm. This brings the total number of performances to 16 between 5 – 20 April.
RAD announces judging team and choreographer for Final.
Prima ballerina Darcey Bussell CBE, Royal Ballet Director Kevin O’Hare and Scottish Ballet Artistic Director Christopher Hampson will judge the Final at this year’s Genée International Ballet Competition, to be held in Glasgow in September in association with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Scottish Ballet.
They will select medallists from rising stars of ballet, who will – as part of the competition – perform Variations choreographed by Royal Ballet Choreographic Apprentice Robert Binet.
